RE: Employment and Operations / COVID-19 Information
Ford Metro Team,
As you know, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has issued a ‘Shelter in Place’ Order which began on Friday, March 27, 2020 and will end on April 10, 2020. The goal of this order is to slow the spread of COVID-19 and assist with the influx of patients at healthcare systems statewide.
Ford Metro and the services we provide has been deemed an ‘essential’ business. As an ‘essential business’ we have been asked by the State to continue construction as scheduled. It is our intention to maintain office and field operations with some protocols designed to keep you safe and ensure the viability of our business. These protocols were delivered to you via email/text on March 19, 2020. Please also follow the protocols set in place by the general contractors at your respective jobsites.
We believe that our employees are our greatest asset. The wellness and health of you, your family, and our community is our first priority. This includes the security you and your family have gained while being employed at KAS / Ford Metro. Because of this, KAS/FMI employees will remain fully employed, fully compensated, with no interruption due to COVID-19. This includes retirement, health, and other benefits that are offered. This is our commitment to you as we walk through these uncertain times together.
Please feel free to reach out to me at any time with questions, protocol information, health and safety, and any other questions that you might have. I will continue to provide updates and communicate changes as needed.
Thank you for all that you do. Together, we will get through this.
Sincerely and Respectfully,
Mitchell Swanson
VP
